38.1 The subject of the project is to understand why people in Zetland keep pets. The data collected from the opinion polls provide valuable insights into the reasons behind pet ownership in the region.

One key fact from the data is that 44% of respondents keep pets not to feel lonely. This suggests that companionship and emotional support play a significant role in the decision to have a pet. Additionally, 22% of respondents stated that they keep pets to feel happy, highlighting the positive impact that pets can have on our well-being.

Comparing these two reasons, it is clear that pets serve as sources of comfort and joy for their owners. In other words, 3/4 of pet owners keep pets to be happy and not feel lonely, while 1/4 of those surveyed get a pet for other reasons.

However, it is important to note that pet ownership also comes with responsibilities. One potential problem that can arise with keeping pets is the lack of proper care and attention, leading to neglect and health issues. To solve this, it is crucial for pet owners to prioritize their pets' well-being and provide them with the necessary care, love and attention.

In conclusion, pets play diverse roles in our lives, from providing companionship and happiness to helping us cope with stress and loneliness. As evident from the data, pet ownership is a significant aspect of many people's lives in Zetland and serves as a valuable source of support and comfort. It is important for pet owners to recognize the responsibilities that come with owning a pet and to prioritize their well-being.

38.2 The subject of the project revolves around determining what Zetland teenagers most often use their smartphones for. The data from the opinion polls provide some insight into this matter.

According to the poll results, texting is the most popular activity among Zetland teenagers, with 30% of respondents stating that they use their smartphones most often for this purpose. Following closely behind is surfing the Internet, with 25% of respondents choosing this option. Making telephone calls, playing games and emailing were less popular activities, with 20%, 15% and 10% of respondents selecting them, respectively.

It is interesting to note that traditional phone calls are not as popular as texting or surfing the Internet among teenagers in Zetland. This could be due to the rise of messaging apps and social media platforms, which offer more varied and instantaneous communication options.

However, relying too heavily on smartphones for communication can lead to issues such as decreased face-to-face interactions and potential addiction to technology. To address this problem, it is important for teenagers to set boundaries for smartphone use and prioritize in-person interactions. Encouraging activities that do not involve smartphones, such as sports, hobbies or group outings, can help balance screen time with real-life connections.

In conclusion, smartphones play a significant role in teenagers' lives in Zetland, serving as a tool for communication, entertainment and information. While they offer numerous benefits, it is essential for teenagers to strike a healthy balance between digital and offline interactions to maintain overall well-being and social connections.
