Thank you for your email message! I'm excited to hear that you're interested in Russian New Year traditions!
In Russia the New Year is a big celebration filled with festivities and customs. People usually gather with friends and family to have a big feast, drink champagne and watch the President's address on TV. Some special dishes include Olivier salad, Russian pelmeni dumplings and tangerines. My family celebrates by exchanging gifts, watching fireworks and making wishes for the upcoming year.
I'm curious about your desire to learn Russian. Why did you decide to start learning Russian? How do you plan to learn the language? Have you already found a tutor for learning Russian?
Anyway, I've got to go as I need to help my little brother with his homework.
