Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Winter and summer activities”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the summer and winter seasons;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the summer and winter seasons;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – whether you would prefer winter activities or summer activities and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hey, I just wanted to talk to you about our school project on winter and summer activities. I found some great photos that I think will really showcase the differences between the two seasons.

The first photo I found is of a family of four in a winter landscape wearing Christmas hats. They have a Santa Claus doll next to them, which really sets the holiday mood. The second photo is of a family of six sailing on an inflatable boat on a sunny lake. It really captures the carefree and relaxed vibe of summer activities.

I think the advantages of winter activities are that you can enjoy activities like building snowmen, skiing and ice skating. Winter also brings the holiday season, which is always a fun time for families to spend together. On the other hand, summer activities offer the chance to go swimming, have picnics and enjoy the sunshine. The warm weather can also lift your mood and make you feel more energized.

However, there are also disadvantages to both seasons. In winter, the cold weather can be harsh and limit outdoor activities. It can also be tough to travel during winter due to snow and ice. In summer, the extreme heat can be uncomfortable and make it difficult to stay outside for long periods of time. There is also the risk of sunburn and dehydration.

Personally, I think I prefer summer activities over winter. I love the feeling of the warm sun on my skin and there are so many fun things to do outdoors during the summer. Plus, I feel like I have more energy and motivation when the weather is nice. What about you? Would you prefer winter activities or summer activities? Let me know your thoughts!
