Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Preparing for exams”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the two types of preparing for exams;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of preparing for exams;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – whether you prefer preparing for exams alone or in somebody’s company and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hey there! So, I found some great photos to use for our project on "Preparing for exams". The first photo I chose is of a girl studying at home with a laptop in front of her. She looks really focused and determined to do well. The second photo is of four students studying in the library, each with a book in hand.

I think these photos are great because they show two different ways of preparing for exams. The girl in the first photo is studying alone at home, which can be great because there are no distractions and she can focus completely on her work. On the other hand, the students in the library are studying together, which can be beneficial because they can help each other out and motivate each other to do well.

One advantage of studying alone is that you can work at your own pace and tailor your study session to your specific needs. However, a disadvantage is that you may struggle to stay motivated without the support and encouragement of others. On the other hand, studying in a group can provide a sense of accountability and collaboration, but it may also lead to distractions and disagreements about study methods.

Personally, I prefer studying alone for exams. I find that I can concentrate better and really focus on the material when I am by myself. However, I do see the benefits of studying in a group, especially when it comes to discussing difficult topics and sharing different perspectives.
