38.1 The project on environmental problems considered most dangerous by Zetland teenagers is crucial as it sheds light on the concerns and priorities of the younger generation in addressing key ecological issues. The data collected from opinion polls provide valuable insights into the views of the youth in Zetland.

According to the results, global warming was identified as the most dangerous environmental problem by 44% of respondents, followed by air pollution at 22%, water pollution at 16%, deforestation at 12% and rare species extinction at 6%. These results indicate a significant concern for overarching issues such as climate change and pollution, which have far-reaching impacts on the environment and human health.

It is interesting to note that almost half of the respondents chose global warming as the most dangerous environmental problem, while all other problems were divided among the remaining half of the respondents. This aligns with the global trend of increasing awareness and activism around climate change, with young people at the forefront of demanding action from leaders and policymakers.

In my region a pressing environmental problem is plastic pollution in waterways and oceans. To address this issue, it is essential to promote sustainable practices such as reducing single-use plastic consumption, implementing proper waste management systems and supporting initiatives for recycling and clean-up efforts.

In conclusion, the project highlights the significance of involving teenagers in environmental protection efforts and empowering them to take action on key issues affecting the planet. It is crucial to engage young people in environmental advocacy and education to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.

38.2 The New Year celebration is a significant event in Zetland, as it is in many cultures around the world. Understanding what is most important about this celebration for Zetlanders can provide insight into their values and traditions.

According to the opinion polls, the majority of respondents (43%) believe that the most important aspect of the New Year celebration is spending time with their family. This highlights the importance of familial relationships in Zetland culture. Additionally, 27% of respondents value the holiday atmosphere, which suggests that they appreciate the festive and cheerful environment that accompanies the New Year celebration.

It is interesting to note that only 17% of respondents mentioned presents as the most important aspect of the New Year celebration, that is, roughly 2 times less respondents compared to those who value family celebration the most. This could indicate that materialistic values are not as prominent in Zetland culture compared to other societies where gift-giving is a central focus of celebrations.

One potential problem that can arise with celebrating the New Year is the pressure to conform to societal expectations or to engage in extravagant festivities. To solve this issue, individuals can focus on the true meaning of the holiday, which is spending quality time with loved ones and reflecting on the past year.

In conclusion, the data suggest that family celebrations play a crucial role in the New Year celebration for Zetlanders. This underscores the importance of family in our lives and the significance of bonding and creating memories with our loved ones during special occasions.
