Пояснение:
38.1 Many modern cities encourage their residents to use bicycles as an eco-friendly and healthy means of transport. However, not all people are ready to switch to cycling, and the survey among Zetlanders shows clearly why some of them refuse to go to work by bike.
The data reveal that the biggest obstacle is distance: almost half of the respondents (49%) say that their workplace is simply too far from home. The second most common reason is unfavourable climate conditions, which prevent 24% of citizens from cycling regularly. In comparison, infrastructure problems such as the lack of bicycle lanes (13%) and parking lots (8%) are mentioned much less often. Interestingly, only 6% complain about heavy car traffic, which means that safety is not the main concern for most people.
It is worth noting that distance is mentioned twice as often as climate, and several times more often than issues related to infrastructure. This shows that for many Zetlanders cycling is not a realistic option, no matter how well equipped the city might be. At the same time, improving roads and providing parking facilities could still encourage at least part of the population to use bicycles more often.
In a big city, one of the main problems of cycling is the shortage of safe and convenient routes. Building a network of protected cycle lanes would make this type of transport more attractive and reliable.
In my opinion, the best way to get around a large city is by combining public transport with cycling. Public transport solves the problem of long distances, while bicycles can be used for shorter trips. This approach is both environmentally friendly and practical, and it could significantly improve the quality of urban life.
38.2 Going to concerts is a popular leisure activity, and people often have different priorities when choosing which event to attend. The survey conducted among Zetlanders provides useful insights into what factors influence their decisions.
The results show that the majority of respondents (40%) are guided mainly by their favourite musicians. This is almost twice as many as those who rely on positive reviews of performers unknown to them (25%). Another considerable group, 18%, pay attention to the reputation of the concert hall, while fewer people care about its location (11%) or ticket discounts (6%).
It is interesting that the fame of the performers is valued much more highly than practical considerations such as the distance to the venue or the price of tickets. Clearly, Zetlanders are ready to travel further and pay more if their favourite musicians are playing. At the same time, reviews of new artists also play an important role, which means that people are open to discovering fresh talent if others recommend it.
One problem that concert-goers may face is the lack of reliable information about performers they have never heard of. As a solution, organisers could post short video clips or live recordings online, giving people the chance to evaluate the musicians themselves before buying a ticket.
In my view, attending concerts is very important, not only for entertainment but also for cultural development. Live music creates a unique atmosphere and allows listeners to share emotions with other people, which cannot be replaced by simply listening to music at home.
