38.1 The subject of my project revolves around the popular book genres among teenagers in Zetland, as determined by opinion polls. It is fascinating to see the preferences of the respondents and how they vary across different genres of books.

The data from the opinion polls reveal that adventure is the most popular genre with 35% of respondents reading it, followed by detective/war/spy stories at 25%, sports stories at 20%, animal stories at 15% and romance at 5%.

One interesting observation is that adventure and detective/war/spy stories are the top two genres among teenagers in Zetland. This suggests that teenagers are drawn to books with suspense, action and intriguing plotlines. On the other hand, romance, which is often associated with love and relationships, is the least popular genre among the respondents. This could indicate that teenagers in Zetland are more interested in genres that offer excitement and thrills rather than romance.

One potential problem that can arise with reading is that teenagers may not be exposed to a diverse range of genres, limiting their literary experiences. A way to solve this is to encourage teenagers to explore different genres by introducing them to a variety of books and authors.

In conclusion, reading is crucial for teenagers as it not only helps improve their literacy skills but also expands their imagination, knowledge and empathy. By exploring different genres, teenagers can broaden their horizons and develop a deeper appreciation for literature. It is essential to encourage teenagers to read widely and explore various genres to foster a love for reading that will benefit them throughout their lives.

38.2 In today's digital age smartphones have become an integral part of our daily lives, serving various functions from communication to entertainment and shopping. The data from the opinion polls conducted in Zetland provide valuable insights into how people in the area primarily use their smartphones.

According to the polls, the most popular use of smartphones among respondents is making phone calls, with 30% of them stating that this is what they primarily use their devices for. This is closely followed by surfing the Internet at 28%, showing that people rely on their smartphones for accessing information and staying connected online.

Interestingly, playing games on smartphones is another popular activity, with 20% of respondents indicating that they use their devices for this purpose. On the other hand, only 15% of respondents use their smartphones for paying purchases. This may indicate that the system of paying for purchases using gadgets has not yet been implemented on a large scale in Zetland.

One potential issue that can arise from excessive smartphone use is addiction and dependency. To address this, it is essential for individuals to set boundaries and balance their screen time with other activities such as exercise, social interactions and hobbies.

In conclusion, smartphones play a crucial role in our daily lives, offering us convenience and connectivity. However, it is essential to use them mindfully and responsibly to maintain a healthy balance between the virtual and real world.
