Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Different types of recreation”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the two types of recreation;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of recreation;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – whether you would prefer to lie on the beach or go camping with tents and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hey there! So, I found some great photos to illustrate our school project on different types of recreation. The first photo shows a family of three relaxing in the forest, with the husband and son setting up a tent. The weather is nice and there are green trees all around them. The second photo shows a mum and a daughter sunbathing on the beach with a lake in the background, on a sunny and clear day.

I chose these photos because they represent two very different types of recreation — camping in the forest and relaxing on the beach. The camping photo shows a more adventurous and nature-focused activity, while the beach photo represents a more laid-back and leisurely way to spend time outdoors.

Some advantages of camping in the forest include the opportunity to disconnect from technology, bond with nature and develop survival skills. On the other hand, sunbathing on the beach allows for relaxation, vitamin D absorption and enjoying the calming sound of the waves.

However, there are also some disadvantages to consider. Camping can be physically demanding, especially when setting up a tent or hiking in the wilderness. Sunbathing on the beach, on the other hand, can lead to sunburn and overexposure to harmful UV rays if not done safely.

Personally, I think I would prefer lying on the beach over camping with tents. While I enjoy the idea of disconnecting and being closer to nature, I prefer the idea of relaxing by the water, feeling the warm sun on my skin and listening to the soothing sound of the waves. Overall, both types of recreation have their own unique benefits and drawbacks and it really depends on individual preferences and interests.
