Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Tastes differ”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the two ways of shopping;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two ways of shopping;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – which of these ways of shopping you prefer and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hey, so I just wanted to quickly update you on our school project "Tastes differ". I found some really interesting photos to illustrate the topic, but unfortunately, I can't send them right now due to technical issues.

The first photo shows a family of three, a husband, wife and daughter, buying goods at a grocery store. It really captures the traditional way of shopping where you physically go to a store to make purchases. The second photo, on the other hand, shows the woman at home making online purchases using a tablet and debit card, highlighting the modern trend of online shopping.

I think the advantage of shopping at a physical store is that you can see and touch the products before buying them, which can help in making more informed decisions. Additionally, shopping in-person allows you to interact with the staff and get immediate assistance if needed. However, the downside is that it can be time-consuming and sometimes stressful, especially during peak hours.

On the other hand, online shopping offers convenience and the ability to browse through a wide range of products from the comfort of your own home. It also often provides discounts and deals that may not be available in physical stores. But the drawback is that you can't physically see or try out the products before purchasing, which can sometimes lead to disappointment.

Personally, I prefer online shopping because of the convenience and the wide variety of options available. I find it easier to compare prices and read reviews before making a purchase. However, I do miss the experience of physically going to a store and interacting with the staff.

I think our project can explore the different shopping preferences people have based on their lifestyle, preferences and priorities. It would be interesting to see how technology has changed the way we shop and how it continues to impact consumer behaviour. Let me know your thoughts when you get a chance.
