Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “The best time of the year”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the summer and winter seasons;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the summer and winter seasons;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – whether you would prefer winter or summer time of the year and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hey there, so I was looking at the photos for our "The best time of the year" project and I wanted to share my thoughts with you since I can't send the photos right now.

The first photo is of a girl standing next to a snowman in the winter. The snowman is all decked out with a carrot for a nose, a hat and a scarf. The second photo is of another girl in a meadow during the summer, holding colourful balloons.

I thought these photos perfectly captured the essence of both seasons — the winter photo is so cozy and festive with the snowman, while the summer photo is bright and colourful with the balloons.

Speaking of the seasons, one advantage of winter is the holiday spirit — there's something magical about snowfall and gathering around the campfire. On the other hand, a major advantage of summer is the freedom to spend more time outdoors, enjoying the sunshine and nature.

But of course, both seasons have their downsides. Winter can be really cold and dark and sometimes the snow can be a hassle to deal with. Summer, on the other hand, can get uncomfortably hot and humid, especially if you're not near the beach or a pool.

Personally, if I had to choose between winter and summer as my favourite time of the year, I think I would go with summer. I just love the longer days, being able to go on adventures and the overall sense of freedom that comes with the sunshine.
