Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Urban and rural life”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of urban and rural life;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of urban and rural life;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – whether you would like to live in the city or in the countryside and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hey! So, unfortunately, I couldn't send you the photos we found for our project on urban and rural life, but I can describe them to you.

The first photo we have is of a little girl standing with a bucket at a well in the village. The setting is very serene with an old fence surrounding the well and green foliage in the background. The second photo is of a woman in the city, standing against the backdrop of tall buildings with many houses in the distance.

For our project we chose these photos to illustrate the differences between urban and rural life. The first photo captures the simplicity and close connection to nature that is often associated with rural life, while the second photo showcases the hustle and bustle of city life with its tall buildings and urban landscape.

In terms of advantages, rural life offers a slower pace, cleaner air and a stronger sense of community. On the other hand, urban life brings with it more opportunities for career growth, access to better infrastructure and a vibrant social scene.

As for disadvantages, rural areas may lack job opportunities and access to amenities like healthcare and education. In contrast, urban areas can be overcrowded, noisy and polluted, leading to a higher cost of living.

Personally, I would prefer to live in a mix of both urban and rural settings. I appreciate the tranquillity and connection to nature that rural life offers, but I also value the opportunities and conveniences that come with living in a city. Finding a balance between the two would be ideal for me.

I think our project will be really interesting as we delve into the differences between urban and rural life and explore the pros and cons of living in each. Let's brainstorm more ideas when we meet next! Talk to you soon!
