Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Solo or in company”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the two ways of having meals;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two ways of having meals;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – which way of having meals presented in
the pictures you prefer and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hey there! So, I wanted to talk to you about the photos we found for our school project on whether it's better to have meals solo or in company. The first photo shows four teenagers (2 boys and 2 girls) having lunch together, chatting and smiling. In the second photo there's a girl sitting alone at the table, smiling and eating grapefruit.

I think the first photo of the group having lunch together illustrates the social aspect of eating meals in company. It shows how having a meal with friends can be a fun and enjoyable experience. On the other hand, the second photo of the girl eating alone highlights the independence and tranquility that comes with solo dining.

One advantage of having meals in company is the social interaction and bonding that can occur. Sharing a meal with others allows for meaningful conversations and creates a sense of community. On the other hand, one advantage of having meals solo is the freedom and independence to eat at your own pace and enjoy your own company without any distractions.

However, a disadvantage of eating in company could be the potential for distractions or disagreements that may arise during the meal. Whereas a disadvantage of eating alone could be the lack of social interaction and potential feelings of loneliness.

Personally, I prefer having meals in company because I enjoy the social aspect of sharing a meal with friends and loved ones. It creates a sense of connection and allows for meaningful conversations. But I also appreciate the occasional solo meal for the peace and quiet it brings.
