Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Family pastime”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the two types of family pastime;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of family pastime;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – which type of family pastime presented in
the pictures you prefer and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hey there! So I couldn't send you the photos for our "Family pastime" project, but let me describe them to you.

The first photo shows a family sitting on a couch at home, each one of them engrossed in their phones. The second photo depicts another family walking in the park, holding hands and chatting with each other. The main difference between the two photos is the level of engagement and interaction between the family members.

In terms of advantages, the digital pastime shown in the first photo allows each family member to enjoy their own personal interests and activities. On the other hand, the traditional outdoor pastime in the park, as shown in the second photo, promotes bonding, communication and physical activity.

However, there are also disadvantages to each type of family pastime. Spending time on devices can lead to decreased real-life interactions and communication within the family, as shown in the first photo. On the other hand, outdoor activities may require more time, effort and planning compared to staying at home and using electronic devices.

Personally, I prefer the family pastime depicted in the second photo, where the family is walking in the park and enjoying nature together. I believe that spending quality time outdoors promotes physical health, emotional connection and memorable experiences that cannot be replicated through digital activities.
