Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “An ideal weekend”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the two types of weekends;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of weekends;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – which kind of weekend you’d prefer and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hey there! So, I found these two photos to illustrate our project on “An ideal weekend”. In the first photo we see a man and a woman hugging while watching a movie at the cinema. The girl is holding a soda and the man is holding popcorn. This illustrates a fun and relaxing weekend activity. In the second photo we see a family of three watching a program on TV together. This represents a cozy and bonding family weekend.

I think the advantage of the first type of weekend, going to the cinema with a friend or partner, is that it allows for some quality one-on-one time and a chance to unwind and enjoy a movie together. On the other hand, the advantage of the second type, spending time with family at home, is the sense of togetherness and shared experiences that can strengthen family bonds.

However, a disadvantage of the first type of weekend could be the cost involved in going to the cinema, as tickets and snacks can add up. And for the second type of weekend, a disadvantage could be the potential for distractions at home, such as phones or other responsibilities that can take away from quality family time.

Personally, I think I would prefer the first type of weekend, going to the cinema with a friend or partner. I enjoy the experience of watching a movie on the big screen and sharing that experience with someone close to me. It’s a fun and relaxing way to spend the weekend and create lasting memories. But I also see the value in spending quality time with family at home, so both options have their appeal.
