Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Summer holidays”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the two types of summer holidays;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of summer holidays;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – which of these ways of spending summer holidays you preferred as a child and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hi! I want to tell you about the photos I’ve chosen for our project “Summer holidays.” The first photo shows a mother and her daughter working in the garden at their dacha. The mother is holding a flower and is about to plant it in the ground. The second photo shows a father and his son building a sandcastle on the beach, with the ocean in the background. So, one holiday is spent in the countryside, and the other one is at the seaside.
Both types of summer holidays have their advantages. Spending time at the dacha is useful because you can enjoy fresh air, grow vegetables or flowers and feel closer to nature. A beach holiday is more relaxing, as you can swim, play in the sand and just have fun in the sun.
But there are also disadvantages. At the dacha, the work in the garden can be tiring, and sometimes you don’t have much free time. On the beach, the weather can suddenly change, and too much sun is not very healthy.
As for me, when I was a child, I preferred holidays at the seaside. I loved swimming, playing in the sand and spending time near the water. It always felt like a real adventure and gave me lots of happy memories.
