Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Sports”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the two kinds of sports;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two kinds of sports;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – which of these sports you’d prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hi! I wanted to tell you about the photos I’ve chosen for our project “Sports.” The first photo shows a group of girls playing volleyball outside. It’s a sunny day, and one of the girls is about to hit the ball over the net. The second photo shows some young people playing hockey on an open rink in winter. Two players in yellow jerseys are attacking and moving towards the goal. So, one sport is played in summer and the other in winter, and that’s the main difference.
Volleyball has some advantages: it’s very good for teamwork and improves coordination. It’s also easy to play outside with friends because you only need a ball and a net. Hockey, on the other hand, is a very active sport that builds strength and endurance. It’s exciting and fast, and many people enjoy watching it as well.
But both sports have disadvantages, too. Volleyball can be hard if you don’t have enough players or the proper place to play. Hockey is more dangerous, because players can fall on the ice or get injured with sticks or the puck.
As for me, I’d prefer volleyball, because I really enjoy playing it with friends on the beach or at school. It’s less risky than hockey and more convenient, especially in summer. That’s why I think volleyball would be my choice.
