Пояснение:
38.1 The choice of major is a crucial decision for many young people, and it is interesting to explore why many young Zetlanders opt for the humanities. According to the survey data, several factors influence their decision, reflecting both personal interests and practical considerations.

The most common reason, chosen by 37% of respondents, is a love for creativity. This suggests that many students are drawn to humanities subjects because these fields allow them to express themselves and engage in imaginative work. Close behind, 28% of respondents cited interesting subjects as their motivation, indicating that the content of humanities courses appeals to their curiosity and desire to learn. Meanwhile, 20% chose public significance, showing that some students are motivated by the impact their studies can have on society.

When comparing these reasons, it is clear that intrinsic motivations such as creativity and interest in the subject matter outweigh more pragmatic concerns like job variety (9%) or personal fulfilment (6%). This highlights that young Zetlanders primarily see humanities as a field for intellectual and creative engagement rather than just a means to an end.

However, a potential problem with studying the humanities is the limited perception of job prospects after graduation. Many students may worry about their future employment opportunities. To address this issue, universities and career services should provide better guidance and showcase diverse career paths available to humanities graduates, including roles in communication, education, cultural management and more.

In conclusion, choosing the right profession is vital for both personal satisfaction and career success. While passion and interest should guide one’s choice, it is equally important to consider practical aspects such as employability. Humanities offer valuable skills and perspectives, but students must be well-informed about how to translate their education into fulfilling careers.

38.2 The project on Zetlanders’ priorities in reading and discussing the news on social networks highlights important aspects of how people engage with information today. Social media has become a primary source of news for many, but users’ concerns and preferences vary significantly.

According to the survey, the top priority for 34% of Zetland social network users is obtaining reliable information. This shows that accuracy and trustworthiness remain crucial when people choose what news to read and share. Close behind, 26% of respondents prioritize internet security, indicating a strong awareness of privacy and safety issues while browsing or interacting online. Meanwhile, 20% value the volume of information, suggesting that some users prefer having access to a wide range of news, even if it might be overwhelming.

Comparing these priorities reveals an interesting balance: while a third of respondents focus on reliability, about half (46%) are more concerned with either security or quantity of information. This may reflect a tension between wanting trustworthy news and the desire to stay informed broadly or safely. The lower percentages for discussing information (11%) and friendly attitudes (9%) suggest that social interaction is less important than content quality or security for most users.

A significant problem with reading and discussing news on social networks is the spread of misinformation. Because anyone can post content, false or misleading news can quickly go viral, confusing readers and damaging public trust. One way to address this issue is by promoting digital literacy education, helping users critically evaluate sources and recognize fake news.

In my opinion, while social media can be a convenient source of news, it should not be fully trusted without verification. Users need to cross-check information with reputable outlets and be cautious about sharing unverified stories. Only by combining careful scrutiny with awareness of online risks can people make the most of social networks as a news resource.
