Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Using the Internet”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
● explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
● mention the advantages (1–2) of the two gadgets used to connect to the Internet;
● mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two gadgets used to connect to the Internet;
● express your opinion on the subject of the project – which of these gadgets to use the Internet you prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hi! I wanted to share some thoughts about the photos I found for our project on “Using the Internet.” The first photo shows a girl sitting in the kitchen next to a laptop, typing something. She has a pen and a notebook next to her, which suggests she’s doing some serious work or studying. The second photo features a girl lying on her bed with headphones on, holding her phone. This image gives off a more relaxed vibe, indicating that she might be browsing social media or listening to music.
Now, let’s talk about the advantages of these gadgets. One advantage of the laptop is its larger screen and keyboard, which makes it easier to type long documents. On the other hand, a phone is incredibly portable, allowing users to access the Internet anywhere and anytime, which is super convenient.
However, both gadgets have their downsides. A laptop can be less portable and may require a power source, making it less ideal for travel. Meanwhile, using a phone for extended periods can lead to eye strain and discomfort due to its smaller screen.
Personally, I prefer to use a laptop for most online tasks as it provides greater productivity and comfort when working on projects like ours. The larger screen helps me focus better, and I find typing on a keyboard much easier than on a phone. However, I do appreciate the convenience of my phone for quick browsing or social media updates.
