Thank you for your email message! It's great to hear from you again. I'm sorry for not writing you for so long. I was busy preparing for the exams.
To answer your questions, among Russian teenagers, writers like Fyodor Dostoevsky and Leo Tolstoy are very popular. My favorite writer is Anton Chekhov; his short stories are both poignant and insightful. If a foreigner wanted to start with Russian literature, I would suggest reading “The Queen of Spades” by Alexander Pushkin. It’s a short story, easily accessible, and a fantastic example of Russian storytelling.
I'm curious about your unusual present! What is it? Who gave it to you? And how do you plan to use it?
Anyway, I've got to go as I need to help my little brother with his homework.
