Comment on the following statement.

Sewing or knitting clothes at home today is a waste of time and money.

What is your opinion? Do you agree with this statement?

Write 200–250 words.

Use the following plan:
− make an introduction (state the problem)
− express your personal opinion and give 2–3 reasons for your opinion
− express an opposing opinion and give 1–2 reasons for this opposing opinion
− explain why you do not agree with the opposing opinion
− make a conclusion restating your position

Пояснение:
There are many hobbies that people have: hunting, fishing, jogging, hiking and so on. Some individuals also enjoy knitting. But is it true that people with this passion just lose their time and finances?

In my opinion, if you love sewing then you do not waste time doing it. It does not matter whether the hobby brings you money or not. The main point is that you're getting pleasure doing it. Also, if you know how to knit clothes you can always make your own present to your friends or family members.

Some people, however, believe that it is impractical to do sewing today as you can buy anything you want in a shopping center. They also say that it is a very time consuming hobby and it is better to do something else.

I cannot agree with the above opinion as these people fail to understand that it is important to follow your passion. Also we should keep in mind that a person's hobbies should suit him but not other people. So if someone enjoys knitting then it is his personal choice to do that.

In conclusion, I believe that sewing clothes is a great pastime and if you like doing it then it cannot be considered as a waste of time or money.
